New Delhi, Aug. 8 -- The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has crossed Rs 20 lakh crore in cumulative Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) through more than 3.78 crore orders, ahead of completing ten years of operations on August 9, reflecting its expanding role in India's public procurement ecosystem.

GeM Records Rapid Growth In Procurement Value The platform's annual GMV has grown from Rs 422 crore in FY 2016-17 to over Rs 5 lakh crore in both FY 2024-25 and FY 2025-26. During the first four months of FY 2026-27, GeM recorded a GMV of Rs 1,47,888 crore.
