New Delhi, Oct. 23 -- Several European companies, including automobile manufacturers, are exploring investment opportunities in India, with German firms showing interest in healthcare, pharmaceuticals and research and development, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Friday.

Speaking to reporters during his official visit to Germany, Goyal said, "With all the regulatory overhang that they (EU) are creating upon themselves, European manufacturing will have to look for trusted partner countries where at least many of the things that are becoming very expensive in Europe can be produced. So I see tremendous potential for India and huge job creation in India," PTI reported.
