New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has enabled automated issuance of Free Sale and Commerce Certificates (FSC) on its portal to reduce processing time and compliance requirements for eligible exporters.

The certificates are issued under the Foreign Trade Policy for products not covered under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940. Previously, applications were processed by Regional Authorities (RAs) after manual scrutiny and verification.

Under the new system, eligible applications will be processed automatically based on prescribed parameters without being routed for manual scrutiny.
