Coal India, UPRVUNL Form Joint Venture to Develop Renewable Energy Projects in Uttar Pradesh
New Delhi, July 6 -- Coal India Limited (CIL) has signed a joint venture agreement with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) to develop renewable energy projects across Uttar Pradesh.
Under the agreement, the two companies will establish a joint venture company with Coal India holding a 51 per cent equity stake and UPRVUNL 49 per cent, according to ET.
The joint venture will develop, finance, construct, operate and maintain renewable energy projects, including ground-mounted and floating solar plants, rooftop solar installations, wind energy projects and pumped storage facilities.
