Ranchi, Aug. 29 -- The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jamshedpur Branch Office, organised an industry meet-cum-awareness programme for MSME manufacturers and BIS licensees on August 25, aimed at providing technical guidance and handholding support for certification and compliance with Indian Standards.

Around 40 manufacturers participated in the programme, with sponge iron manufacturers and representatives from the cement industry specifically invited to discuss applicable standards and Quality Control Orders (QCOs), reported Business Standard.
