New Delhi, May 7 -- Tech giant Apple has announced various sustainability initiatives in India focused on renewable energy expansion, plastic waste reduction and support for green entrepreneurship as part of its goal to achieve carbon neutrality across its operations, supply chain and product lifecycle by 2030.

Rs 100 Crore Renewable Energy Investment

As part of the initiative, the company will invest an initial Rs 100 crore in renewable energy infrastructure in partnership with CleanMax. The investment is expected to create over 150 MW of additional renewable energy capacity, enough to meet the annual electricity needs of nearly 1.5 lakh households.
