New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- The Heads of Intellectual Property (IP) Offices of BRICS countries have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation in intellectual property during the 18th Meeting of the Heads of IP Offices, being held in New Delhi from September 1 to 3, 2026.

Hosted by the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (O/o CGPDTM), DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the three-day meeting brought together around 35 delegates through physical and virtual participation.

A key outcome of the meeting was the adoption of Updated Operational Guidelines aimed at promoting result-oriented cooperation, cross-border innovation and joint efforts in shaping global IP standards.
