New Delhi, Feb. 14 -- The Government has informed the Lok Sabha that it is promoting the overall development of the food processing sector through three major schemes, Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI), and PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME).

In a written reply, Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh said the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is incentivising the setting up and expansion of food processing infrastructure across the country under these schemes.
