Afghanistan, Sept. 23 -- The World Bank inaugurated a new regional center in Riyadh to serve the Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and North Africa, strengthening partnerships and development programs.

The World Bank has opened a new regional center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to serve the Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and North Africa. The Bank said the hub marks a new phase in its operational presence and commitment to the region.

The new facility is located alongside the World Bank's Gulf Cooperation Council office in Riyadh, bringing the institution closer to country teams, clients, and regional partners. Officials said it would strengthen coordination and accelerate the delivery of programs and services.
