Afghanistan, June 14 -- The World Food Programme (WFP) says delivering food assistance to Afghanistan has become an increasingly complex operation due to regional instability, border closures and lengthy alternative transport routes, warning that hundreds of thousands of people continue to face severe hunger across the country.
In a recent report, the UN agency said food aid shipments destined for Afghanistan have been repeatedly rerouted because of regional restrictions, logistical challenges and disruptions along traditional supply corridors.
