Afghanistan, June 17 -- Uzbekistan's State Security Service says it has seized nearly 38 kilograms of narcotics smuggled from Afghanistan and arrested several suspects in operations linked to a cross-border trafficking network.
According to the agency, security forces and police confiscated more than 37 kilograms of drugs in the southern Surkhandarya region, which borders Afghanistan. The shipment included 25.4 kilograms of opium and more than 11 kilograms of hashish.
