Afghanistan, March 25 -- Officials in Taiwan say the United States is placing strong importance on the island's defense and is trying to speed up delayed weapons deliveries.
According to a Reuters report, Taiwan Defense Minister Wellington Koo said Washington has set up a special team to help move weapons programs forward more quickly.
Taiwan has repeatedly raised concerns over delays in receiving US-purchased military equipment, especially as military pressure from China continues to grow.
