Afghanistan, Aug. 19 -- The Trump administration revoked over 6,000 foreign student visas, citing overstays, crimes, and security concerns, sparking criticism that the policy harms academic freedom and America's global reputation.
A senior US State Department official has confirmed that the Trump administration has revoked visas for thousands of foreign students, citing immigration violations, criminal offenses, and, in some cases, security concerns.
According to the official, more than 6,000 students have lost their visas. The majority of cases were due to overstaying legal residency limits or breaching visa regulations.
