Afghanistan, March 14 -- The US Department of State has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information about the whereabouts and activities of Mojtaba Khamenei.

The offer was issued through the Rewards for Justice Program, which said the reward would be granted for credible information regarding Khamenei's location, status and activities. Authorities said tips could be submitted through secure channels such as encrypted messaging platforms.

Mojtaba Khamenei assumed leadership in Iran after the reported death of his father, Ali Khamenei, during the first day of joint military strikes carried out by the United States and Israel.
