Afghanistan, March 17 -- Joseph Kent, head of the US National Counterterrorism Center, has resigned from his position over the ongoing US-Israel war against Iran, citing deep concerns about the conflict.

In his resignation letter, Kent said he could not "in good conscience" support the war, arguing that Iran posed no imminent threat to the United States.
