Afghanistan, Aug. 8 -- The United States and Iran are considering a temporary 60-day shipping arrangement aimed at easing disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz while negotiations continue over a longer-term reopening of the strategic waterway and Iran's nuclear programme, ABC News reported.
According to ABC News, which cited a US official familiar with the negotiations, the proposed arrangement would establish designated shipping routes for commercial vessels during the 60-day period while US, Iranian and other negotiators seek a broader agreement.
