Afghanistan, Oct. 27 -- US and China are expected to finalise a TikTok deal at the APEC summit, creating a new structure with US investment to address national security concerns.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett has said a final agreement on the future of TikTok will be approved during a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping this week. He confirmed that all major details have already been negotiated ahead of the summit.

Bassett told CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday that the arrangement will be formalised on Thursday on the sidelines of the APEC leaders' gathering in South Korea. The deal seeks to address Washington's national security concerns over data access and ownership.
