Afghanistan, Oct. 11 -- UNICEF said Afghanistan's education system faces major challenges but can still recover if secondary education for girls resumes and investment in schools increases.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has warned that Afghanistan's education system remains under severe strain but said there is still a chance for recovery if urgent steps are taken.

In a post on X on Saturday, UNICEF called for lifting the ban on girls' secondary education and prioritizing investment in primary schooling to ensure every child, both girls and boys can attend school.
