Afghanistan, March 8 -- The UNICEF office in Afghanistan has called on the Taliban authorities to lift restrictions preventing female employees from entering United Nations offices in the country.
In a message released Sunday marking International Women's Day, UNICEF urged greater justice, rights and practical action to support Afghan women facing growing restrictions.
The agency said six months have passed since female staff members were barred from entering UN offices, warning that the decision continues to undermine humanitarian operations across Afghanistan.
