Afghanistan, Sept. 25 -- The United Nations says earthquake survivors in Afghanistan are enduring dire living conditions, struggling with destroyed homes, food shortages, and lack of shelter as humanitarian needs rapidly escalate.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has warned that Afghan families devastated by the recent deadly earthquakes are facing severe humanitarian challenges, including loss of homes, livelihoods, and access to basic needs.
