Afghanistan, June 28 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces carried out overnight drone strikes against Russian energy infrastructure, targeting two oil refineries in Russia's Krasnodar region and another refinery in the Yaroslavl region, describing the operation as a "precise response" to continued Russian attacks.
Speaking on Sunday, Zelenskyy said the strikes were part of Ukraine's strategy to weaken Russia's ability to sustain its military campaign. He added that every successful long-range operation reduces Moscow's military resources and brings Ukraine "one step closer to peace."
