Afghanistan, July 15 -- Britain has summoned Iran's charge d'affaires in London after accusing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) Quds Force of directing a proxy group allegedly responsible for attacks across Europe, further escalating diplomatic tensions between the two countries.

The UK Foreign Office said on Tuesday that Iranian charge d'affaires Ali Nasimfar was called in at the direction of Foreign Secretary David Lammy following allegations that the IRGC's Quds Force had directed the Islamic Movement of As'hab al-Yamin to carry out a series of attacks across Europe between March and May.
