Afghanistan, July 1 -- Global personal wealth rose by 10.8% in 2025, its fastest pace in years, with around one million people joining the ranks of millionaires, according to the Swiss bank UBS in its annual Global Wealth Report.
UBS said the sharp increase was driven largely by strong financial market performance. The United States accounted for nearly half of the global rise, with more than 440,000 new millionaires added during the year.
Despite the surge in wealth, the report warned that inequality has continued to deepen since 2020.
