Afghanistan, July 1 -- U.S. Vice President JD Vance said oil tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has returned to pre-conflict levels, with shipping volumes on some days exceeding those recorded before the recent fighting in the Gulf.

Speaking on Tuesday, Vance said the strategic waterway remains open and that increased crude exports indicate the global economy is gradually returning to normal. He added that although the recovery will take time, international oil prices have fallen significantly since the peak of the crisis.
