Afghanistan, July 16 -- U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Thursday that its latest round of military operations against Iran has concluded after targeting military infrastructure that Washington says was used to threaten commercial shipping and U.S. forces in the region.
In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said the operation ended on Wednesday evening U.S. Eastern Time. According to the command, U.S. forces struck Iranian command-and-control facilities, air defense systems, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance sites.
