Afghanistan, April 12 -- Talks between U.S. and Iranian delegations in Islamabad ended without a breakthrough after more than 20 hours, but senior American envoys remained to push forward fragile diplomacy.

Al Arabiya, citing an Arab envoy, reported that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner stayed in Islamabad following the inconclusive first round, working to revive talks and prevent a collapse of the ceasefire.

While JD Vance has already left the Pakistani capital, the continued presence of Witkoff and Kushner signals Washington's intent to keep diplomatic channels open with Tehran.
