Afghanistan, Sept. 29 -- Typhoon Boualoy killed 11 people in Vietnam, left 20 missing, destroyed homes, caused power outages, and triggered floods after striking the central coast.
Vietnamese officials said on Monday, September 29, that Typhoon Boualoy has killed at least 11 people and left 20 others missing.
According to Al Jazeera, nine of the victims died in Ninh Binh province, where tornadoes and lightning strikes destroyed homes and caused widespread devastation.
The typhoon, packing winds of up to 133 kilometres per hour, struck Vietnam's central coast, cutting power to more than 347,000 households. It triggered flash floods and landslides.
