Afghanistan, May 19 -- Hakan Fidan said the third round of the Turkey-Germany Strategic Dialogue Mechanism was successfully held in Berlin, describing it as a sign of both countries' commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation.
Fidan wrote on X on Monday night, May 18, that the meeting was held after a 12-year pause and followed a new strategic partnership framework agreement between Turkey and Britain.
He said talks with German officials, including Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, focused on defense industries, trade, energy and regional connectivity projects.
