U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Monday that the United States would "eradicate Hamas" if the militant group violates the ceasefire agreement currently in place in Gaza.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said Washington and its international partners have taken "multiple steps" to ensure the truce holds following weeks of intense fighting.
"We made an agreement with Hamas that they will behave, that they will be good," Trump said. "If not, we will go in and eradicate them."
