Afghanistan, Feb. 20 -- U.S. President Donald Trump warned that within about ten days the world will know whether a meaningful agreement with Iran is achieved.

Speaking at the first Gaza Peace Council meeting in Washington, Donald Trump said talks with Iran have gone "very well," but acknowledged that reaching a deal with Tehran has historically been difficult.

He said more work is needed to finalize an agreement over Iran's nuclear programme and suggested the United States may have to go "one step further" if negotiations stall.

Trump praised efforts by his Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, saying they had held constructive meetings related to the talks.
