Afghanistan, May 22 -- The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced new immigration guidance Friday aimed at limiting the ability of temporary migrants to remain in the United States while applying for permanent residency, according to a report published by The Daily Caller on May 22.

Under the new policy, most migrants seeking lawful permanent residency will be expected to return to their home countries to complete visa screening and immigrant processing through the US State Department before reentering the United States as permanent residents.
