Afghanistan, May 19 -- Donald Trump said the United States would be satisfied if Iran agrees not to develop nuclear weapons, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to rise.

Trump also said he agreed to delay a possible military strike on Iran for two to three days after Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates informed Washington that negotiations with Tehran were close to reaching a final agreement.

According to Al Jazeera, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani expressed "full support" for mediation efforts led by Pakistan aimed at resolving the crisis through peaceful means.
