President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could impose new sanctions on Russia within the next two weeks, following Moscow's latest attacks in Ukraine.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on August 22, Trump said it must soon become clear whether his efforts to end the conflict will yield progress. "The decision on Russia will be important, whether it's sanctions, tariffs, or nothing at all. Within two weeks we'll know the direction," he noted.
