Afghanistan, May 21 -- US President Donald Trump said Washington is prepared to wait several days for what he called the "right answer" from Iran.

As reported by Reuters, Trump told reporters Wednesday that the situation has reached a "very sensitive point" and could escalate rapidly if no agreement is reached.

Trump said the US remains fully prepared for military action while stressing that Washington still hopes to resolve the crisis through negotiations. He also repeated that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.
