Afghanistan, April 23 -- Donald Trump said Iran has halted the planned execution of eight women protesters after his direct appeal, according to a post on Truth Social.
Trump said four of the women would be released immediately, while the remaining four would face reduced sentences of one month in prison.
He thanked Iranian authorities for what he described as accepting his request, though there has been no official confirmation from Iran.
