Afghanistan, Aug. 2 -- US President Donald Trump said regional allies have reached a framework agreement aimed at ending the conflict with Iran, adding that he has agreed to delay further military action while efforts continue to secure a final deal.
Trump said on Saturday, August 1, that the proposed framework would include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and steps to address what he described as Iran's nuclear threat.
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump claimed that Iran and several Middle Eastern countries had asked Washington to suspend further attacks, saying discussions had created a possible path toward an agreement.
