Afghanistan, Sept. 16 -- U.S. President Donald Trump announced Afghanistan and Colombia are among countries that "failed demonstrably" in meeting counter-narcotics commitments, warning noncompliance could affect aid and diplomatic relations.

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Afghanistan is among several countries that have "failed demonstrably" over the past year to fulfill international counternarcotics obligations.

The official declaration, issued Monday, names Afghanistan, Bolivia, Burma (Myanmar), Colombia, and Venezuela as nations that did not meet their responsibilities under counternarcotics agreements.
