Afghanistan, June 26 -- Three young Afghan migrants drowned off Iran's Caspian Sea coast and another remains missing after a group entered rough waters despite stormy conditions, Iranian rescue officials said on Thursday.

Mojtaba Shams, head of the rescue and lifeguard committee in Nowshahr, said at least 15 Afghan citizens entered the eastern coastal waters of the city on Wednesday even though the sea was experiencing dangerous weather conditions.

He said search operations were continuing to locate the missing person, while the victims were identified as 12, 14 and 25 years old.
