Afghanistan, Sept. 8 -- Tajikistan has sent more than 3,000 tons of humanitarian aid to victims of the Kunar earthquake, including essential food supplies, clothing, tents, and construction materials.
Tajikistan has dispatched a major humanitarian convoy to Afghanistan after the recent deadly earthquake, following an order from President Emomali Rahmon on Monday, September 8.
The presidential press office in Dushanbe confirmed the aid was being delivered by a fleet of trucks and would be distributed among communities hardest hit by the quake.
Authorities said the convoy includes 24 categories of relief goods such as flour, rice, oil, sugar, bedding, clothing, footwear for children and adults, and tents.
