Afghanistan, Aug. 6 -- Sweden, Norway, and Denmark have pledged a combined $500 million to a NATO program supplying advanced U.S. weapons, including Patriot missiles, to Ukraine.

The aid follows a proposal initially supported by former U.S. President Donald Trump, in which the United States would provide the weapons while European allies cover the cost.
