Afghanistan, June 23 -- Commercial vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz increased on Monday despite renewed warnings from Iran and continued regional tensions, according to maritime monitoring data, suggesting shipping companies remain cautiously active in one of the world's most critical energy corridors.
Data from maritime intelligence firm AXSMarine showed commercial ship movements continued at a pace higher than levels recorded before the recent U.S.-Iran understanding. Analysts described the trend as a cautious but visible recovery in traffic, although daily movements remain volatile.
