Afghanistan, Oct. 20 -- Saudi Arabia has welcomed the announcement of an immediate ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan, describing it as a positive step toward lasting peace and stability in the region.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday night that the agreement was reached during talks between the two sides in Doha, where both parties agreed to establish mechanisms to strengthen peace and security.
