Afghanistan, July 25 -- Saudi Arabia carried out airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen's Hodeidah port and Kamaran Island on Friday, escalating regional tensions after the Iran-aligned group imposed a maritime blockade on Saudi ports and launched attacks on Saudi-linked vessels.

Saudi authorities also issued an emergency warning for the Jizan region after the Houthis claimed responsibility for a missile attack targeting the Saudi city. Houthi media outlet Al Masirah reported early Saturday that a "Yemeni missile attack" had caused a fire in Jizan.
