Afghanistan, June 9 -- Ukrainian officials said Russian attacks on the northeastern Kharkiv region killed at least three people and wounded several others on Tuesday, as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy returned to Kyiv following meetings with European leaders focused on ending the war.

Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said on Telegram that two men and one woman were killed in a strike on the city of Chuhuiv. Emergency crews were deployed to extinguish fires and assess the damage caused by the attack.

Meanwhile, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said at least six people were injured in separate shelling of Kharkiv city, one of Ukraine's largest urban centers and a frequent target of Russian missile and drone attacks.
