Afghanistan, March 23 -- Russia's Foreign Ministry called on the United States and Israel to refrain from escalating the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and to restore stability in the region.
In an official statement, Moscow emphasized hope that Washington would act wisely and avoid any threats to Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant.
The ministry also warned that any U.S. ground operation in Iran would be unrealistic and could further intensify conflicts in the region.
Russia highlighted that provocative actions in the Persian Gulf could have serious consequences for energy security and regional stability, urging all parties to return conditions to normal.
