Afghanistan, May 18 -- Russia said Monday it has received no serious indication from Ukraine showing readiness for what Moscow described as a "real settlement" to end the war between the two countries.
According to Russian state news agency TASS, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said successful negotiations would require Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to order a ceasefire and withdraw Ukrainian forces from the Donbas region.
Galuzin said Moscow had not received "any signal from Kyiv" demonstrating willingness to achieve meaningful progress toward resolving the conflict, which has continued for more than three years.
