Afghanistan, June 30 -- The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said it has delivered emergency medical supplies to hospitals in Afghanistan following Pakistan's recent airstrikes in eastern parts of the country that left dozens of civilians dead or wounded.
The ICRC said the emergency assistance was distributed to hospitals in Gardez, the centre of Paktia Province, as well as medical facilities in Samkani District and other treatment centres to support the care of the injured.
The humanitarian response follows Pakistani airstrikes carried out on Sunday night in parts of Samkani district in Paktia, Giyan district in Paktika Province and Manogai district in Kunar Province.
