Afghanistan, April 7 -- EMERGENCY hospital has announced that an Afghan woman gave birth to quintuplets at its maternity centre in Anabah, Panjshir, in what staff described as a rare and remarkable delivery.

The hospital said the five babies were born prematurely at 30 weeks of pregnancy, but both the newborns and their mother are currently in good condition after receiving specialist neonatal and maternity care.

According to the reports, the mother is from Parwan province and delivered the babies 13 days ago at the EMERGENCY maternity centre, where they remain under close medical observation.
