Afghanistan, July 5 -- Pope Leo XIV called on European countries on Saturday to strengthen support for migrants and adopt long-term integration policies, saying Europe has both the capacity and the responsibility to help newcomers become part of their host societies.
According to Al Jazeera, the pontiff described migration as one of Europe's most significant challenges and urged governments to pursue sustainable policies that promote migrants' inclusion through education, employment and community participation.
The pope said successful integration benefits both migrants and host societies, emphasizing that protecting the dignity and rights of displaced people should remain a priority alongside effective migration management.
