Afghanistan, June 20 -- Polish President Karol Nawrocki said he will revoke Poland's highest state distinction, the Order of the White Eagle, previously awarded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, citing Kyiv's decision to name a military unit after the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA).

In a statement issued on Friday, Nawrocki said the naming of a Ukrainian military formation after the UPA carried significance beyond Ukraine's domestic affairs and was incompatible with the values upheld by Poland and Europe.
